My kids really wanted to post some of our pictures this year, we have been reading about the Silver fishing at Loon Lake for the last 2 years and this trip we found them. We spent 10 days at the lake in early June and really had good fishing the entire time. Weather was kindy cloudy/rainy/cool but fishing was really good. The last 2 summers we stayed at Loon lake in August and the fishing was not nearly as good as this year in June. Caught fish every night we went out, attached is a photo of one night of fishing with my son, we brought home 15 and the other is a big Rainbow and Tiger we caught before it got dark one evening, real nice fish. I also caught another Rainbow a little bigger than the one in the photo. We would go out just before dark, sometimes just my son and I and other nights with my son and one of my daughters, and after the first 2 nights we found Silvers. By the end of the trip we we releasing more fish than we kept, only keeping the bigger ones, 14-16". We found the best fishing in about 35 feet of water, we used corn only and glow hooks. We also used a light in the water. I only saw a couple of other people out fishing at night this trip, which is not nearly like it has been in August the last 2 summers. Anyway, great time fishing and the kids had a lot of fun catching so many fish. Even my wife caught some fish this trip. We are going back up for another week in mid July, can't wait.
