Very disappointed with the way the county, has let this lakes vegetation get out of hand. Of course like any bass fisherman, cover is a key for nice bass, but this lake is like out of control with weeds. Id have to say 85 to 90% of my casts brought back weeds on top of my lures or softbaits. I and a friend were lucky enough to catch a bunch of dinks in some spots. But man if some of the vegetation in the middle of the lake was taken out, it would be way better. If I was a parent, I wouldn't dare let my kids swim there for fear their ankle might get wrapped around that jungle in the water!! My buddy had to spend a good 30 minutes picking structure out of his motor. Like I said structure is key to the bigons, but lures add up after a while too. Lots of waterskiers, getting there before light would be a plus.
