Fished from the 11th to the 17th on the south end of banks lake. Stayed at the city park and had my dads boat at the dock. Unfortunetly It got broken into twice along with several other boats. The boat was locked the first time. They only took fishing poles and a box which they thought was tackle but was just cheap tools. The second time we accidently left a tackle box down below. The walleye were not easy to catch but we got 3-4 keepers a day. Caught several 15 inch walleye but 16 is the minimum size. The weather was windy for two days and we couldn't really fish but on the 17th we found a good group of walleye and caught eight nice big ones. Tried the new technique of using a slow death hook and it does catch walleye just as good as spoon spinners and you get less snags. I tied up a hybrid spoon spinner with a slow death hook and it worked better until it got lost in a snag up. Also the crawdads are excellent and fairly big. Use fish carcass as bait.
