It was a windy, cool and slow start to the morning. We began by trolling below the Bar in 175 to 216 feet of water. After a couple of hours we had a couple of fish. Made the move above Wapato Point. The fishing and the weather improved. The breeze laid down for us and the fish began to cooperate. We continued to pound U20 flatfish, mostly in purple glow. We trolled the ledge along the face of Manson Bay in depths of 170 to 195. As always, proximity to the bottom was most important. Ruben and Brenda Smith were up from the Sacramento area to vacation here and were nice enough to come out and fish with us. The big fish of the day came right at the end while we were getting ready to take pictures and clean fish. All in all, it was a great morning trip.
