I did some fishing at Plummer Lake. I caught one trout. I tried a bobber with a worm at first. Not many bites with that. Most people were fishing off of the bottom, tried that out. Caught the one that way. I was using orange Power Bait. Think I just need a longer leader for next time. My bait seemed to be down in the weeds.

Don't know if you were using a clip on bobber, a slip bobber would work better, a bloodknot or bobber stop on your main line, then 10 ft. or so of leader, then a line through bobber, a bit of weight 6 or 8 inches from your hook and there you are. the split shot will pul the line down through the bobber and then stop, the bobber will go right up to your tip for casting. Took a nice 3 lb.+ trout at Stump Lake with that setup a couple of weks ago., works for steelies in the rivers. Tight lines, Bob R

I was using one of the skinny clip on type bobber. I'm familiar with the slip bobbers. I can never seem to get them to work quite right for me.
