I fished Stevens with Slimy Slab and at least 50 other boats and found it to be fairly slow all around. Started fishing around 9:30 and left around 12:30 as the wind started to pick up out of the northwest. I managed to get 4 into the boat and lost at least as many. I wasn't using a treble stinger, yet I would highly suggest doing so for these fish. They are very, very soft and once hooked, spent half the time out of the water putting on an aerial display. One might even want to use a rubber snubber as well if fishing with braided line. The rig that was working for me was a rainbow/watermelon kokanee killer (Apex and Pro Troll both worked) four feet behind a 4/0 dodger, tipped with shrimp. The hot spot was just off the point located south of the aerator. The fish were up, pretty much on the surface, until 10:30 and by the time we quit around 12:30 I was picking them up 30' down. Spoke with a department biologist that was handing out invasive species info at the City Hall launch and were informed that it has been slow the past few days. I'm hoping that the weather change dons't put the fish off even more for the derby, it would suck if a sub limit bag takes a prize. Almost forgot, the fish that made it into the boat were 12" to 13" long, the big ones are still out there swimming around.

Nice report, I drive by every day and since last monday the lake has had alot of traffic on it. Im sure to get ready for the derby. That usually has a good impact on the fish too. I drove by this morning and man was it packed.
