Went to lake samish for this first time this year to see whats up with this years kokes. The bite was slow, they were jumping around but they were not on a great bite with the cold day. However, they fish are much more quality that recent years. This early in the year samish fish usually never get above 12 inches, where all but one today was OVER 12 inches, including the top fish below, the first bite of the day which was a 15 incher. and really fat, theres some nice fish in here, but with that comes fewer numbers, so u gotta put in ur time. Used night crawler on a double hook rig tipped with fire corn, 2 feet behind sling blade. went 5 for 8 in 3 hours.
