Arrived on the water right about 2:15pm to find the park shoreline basically empty, despite the absolutely beatutiful weather. As I was walking my inflatable boat down the path to the water I noticed a flyfisherman about 30 yards out in a float tube, and the exact moment I focused on him he got a fish on (which he got to his tube and released effortlessly- little 8-9" stocker it looked like). I looked at my brother and we gave each other grinning nods. We knew it would be a good day on the water.

We had been skunked the past couple times we had been out, mainly due to switching up methods too quickly. Sometimes we get impatient, so we agreed we would just troll today unless it proved futile after a fair try.

I had just picked up about 8 wedding rings in various color combos and a dozen worms for the occasion, so I tied on a chartruese & green, my brother went for pink/chrome with a white flasher- both tipped with a bit of worm (I always put on a bit more than my brother, I like it when the worm actually gives a little action like a tail but both proved just as effective)

We instantly started getting bites, and stayed in fish the whole time. I was about 10' down most of the time with my lure, cruising in 20-50ft of water. We got off the lake about 6:15 and had 7 fish in the bucket(3 were mine, 4 were my brothers). We both lost another few each close to the boat, but we had so much action we didn't care.

Great day on the water, hoping this friday is as nice!
