After Cindy got off work today, She mentioned she'd like to try for some silvers. SO, I grabbed a couple subways for dinner and away we went. Had the wedding rings in the water by around 5:30 or so. There were several boats still on the water in the lakeside area when we got there, and the kokanee were willing to entertain us. We both have the two pole endorsement, so I was going to be a wise apple and have out 4 poles between us. Not to be. The silvers were hitting (not hooking) pretty consistently and it was hard to keep all four ploes baited. Some of the wedding rings were single hook, So we changed out to two hook wedding rings and three poles out. That worked better. I had one rigged out with a 0000 silver dodger and a "Bitsy" bug, and it out produced the other baits today. Once again most fish were closer to the bottom for us. We did get a few mid column, but the hooking action was lower. Water depts of 30-45' seemed to be most productive also. Cindy did hook one Makinaw on a wedding ring, and it would have weighed 3-4 pounds. Two hours or so later, I was cleaning limits of kokane, and getting ready to head home. Not a bad way to spend the evening. I caught Cindy as she blinked, but it was the pic I have, so be it. LOL Enjoy the great spring fishing everyone.
