After Cindy got off work today, She mentioned she'd like to try for some silvers. SO, I grabbed a couple subways for dinner and away we went. Had the wedding rings in the water by around 5:30 or so. There were several boats still on the water in the lakeside area when we got there, and the kokanee were willing to entertain us. We both have the two pole endorsement, so I was going to be a wise apple and have out 4 poles between us. Not to be. The silvers were hitting (not hooking) pretty consistently and it was hard to keep all four ploes baited. Some of the wedding rings were single hook, So we changed out to two hook wedding rings and three poles out. That worked better. I had one rigged out with a 0000 silver dodger and a "Bitsy" bug, and it out produced the other baits today. Once again most fish were closer to the bottom for us. We did get a few mid column, but the hooking action was lower. Water depts of 30-45' seemed to be most productive also. Cindy did hook one Makinaw on a wedding ring, and it would have weighed 3-4 pounds. Two hours or so later, I was cleaning limits of kokane, and getting ready to head home. Not a bad way to spend the evening. I caught Cindy as she blinked, but it was the pic I have, so be it. LOL Enjoy the great spring fishing everyone.

Way to go you two! We're still "high and dry" at our favorite lake and it may be that way for some time yet. :-( Need to look for a substitute spot in the interim. Chelan is quite a drive so we won't be encroaching on your fishing grounds. ;-)

Never, EVER argue with your wife when she wants to go fishing or buy a new boat! Went fishing a while back with Jiggy, who says you are as good as you sound. Your legend grows, sir.

Howdy sanfrandan, Until I get my fill, these lil buggers get cooked up, then I'll start up the smoker. Cindy has started using some of our fresh fish in a stir fry, and these lil buggers are outstanding as such. But then I haven't disliked them in any recepie. LOL Thanks for the comment

Hi ya Phil, Lake Chelan is a "Lot of Water", so come on over anytime. But I do understand the distance thing. The price of gas keeps some of us closer to home for sure. I feel really lucky cause 5 minutes down to the dock, and a gallon and a half of gas latter I've had a good fishing trip. Man, what a life. LOL

Hey fishinChristian , I make it a point not to argue with cindy anytime. LOL it has worked out for over thirty years, so I don't plan on changing anytime soon. :>) On the subject of Jiggie, I count him as friend, AND I think he should write novels or something. He does have a way with words. (joking) LOL Thanks for the comment, and look forward to reading more of your reports in the future
