My buddy and i headed out to meridian sunday morning, after a flat boat trailer tire we came back and got the other boat. luckily i wasnt even out of my neighborhood yet so not to far to travel for the other boat. So we finally get to the lake just after 7am, not one boat or trailer was in the main launch and a few in the smaller launch. Talked to a couple guys on the dock that had so far had no luck with power bait.
So we started trolling up the right side just outside the no wake markers with pop gear and wedding ring on one pole and just a wedding ring with a split shot on the other, we made one pass up and one pass down with no bites so we changed over to worm and bobber and anchored up. about 10 min into that my bobber starts walkin, o set the hook on a smaller kokanee about 9", as soon as i get it in the boat my buddy starts reeling in and bam he hooks up with one about the same size. We sat there for about another hour with no luck so we went back to trolling.
By this time its almost 9am and like right on schedule here come the a**holes in their fancy speed boats haulin around the lake. But i have no problem fishing right through the middle of the lake anyway so we drop lines pretty far down and slow troll through the middle with wedding rings. We each got one hit and i decided to throw on a rooster tail with pop gear and in a few min had another kokanee, this one i could have used ass bait it was so small lol. We continued to troll the lake all around until about 1 pm before we called it a day. hope the picture works, tight lines
