My buddy and I just finished a patch job on the boat and wanted to see if it worked, so we headed to Silver. Put in about 10 am, wind was 5-10mph with some gusts and partly cloudy, air temp was about 50 ish and water temp was about 42-44 ish. We targeted rocky structure with primarily plastics and deep crankbaits looking for smallmouth, or any else that might hit the lues. We stayed primarily to the north end of the lake and had no takers. Then we headed to get out of the wind a bit so we headed to the back side of the rocky point (the big one on the east side of the lake) and see if we could get some early crappie, bluegill, or perch to hit on jigs tipped with worm (w/ and w/o floats). Again, no takers. Nice crisp day, no leaks, and no fish. Still beats a day at work! Be well!
