Cindy and I made our second trip to Palmer. We wanted to check out the cluster of fish arches we marked last trip. After fishing the upper end with no luck, we worked down the shoreline. We used wedding rigs, apexes, dodgers, and flashlites. We caught fish on all the above. It took a while to fill our limits, then we headed to some of the areas where we marked heavy echos. We caught a few suckers, so moved 50 yards or so. We then got into the perch. I tossed in a marker, and we fished around that area for yellow perch. We used worms, small jigs, and the tried and tru "perch eye". The worm and eye were the producers. At the end of the day, we had a limit of Kokanee and a "bucket" of perch. With the electric fillet knife we made short work of the perch, so we have some kokes to grill and some perch to fry. Talked with some bass fishermen, and no one was getting any bass yet, but with a nice day, they had to give it a try. The morning was upper 20s, but warmed up in the 60s. A great day to be on the water with my fav fishing partner. Tight lines all.
