4/10/2011 2:59:00 PMHi ya MotoBoat, I sure did think of Palmer Silvers. The silvers here in Chelan are running skinny this year. the ones I've caugh were 9-10 inches and about the size of a small banana. makes for some pretty small fillets for sure. I've heard they will pick up some girth once the plankton bloom starts ( around 50-52* water temp). The water temp has been running 45-46* so far. One thing different is water clarity. Chelan is "gin" clear, while Palmer is stained. Visibility was around 4-6 feet when we were there, so I think vibration will play more of a roll there. Not sure but flasher color--silver or metalic colors-- may work better. I just don't have enough experience on Palmer to be sure.
