We gave it a heck of a try. It was cold. We actually went through a large snow fall to get there in which visability on i90 was about 20-30 feet. That should have been our omen to go home, but we got to the lake and it was clear. We saw the super moon setting, looked awesome like an opside down fried egg as it popped down below a egg white cloud. It was huge, and that is the only huge thing we saw all day. Trolled mostly, we think we may have got a bite. Did not mark a fish on the finder. It warmed up to about 36 degrees. We tried casting some jigs too, but no luck. A sad day, but sometimes this needs to happen to all of us in order to respect nature for our lucky days. This was the first time I have been skunked in along time. Probably a little to cold, and will likely be good in a week or two. Similar anglers at the launch had similiar experiences. I now know what Santiago felt like in the old man and the sea, atleast I know what he felt like on day 1.
