Had some strange events happen in the morning that left me with a sunny day off..
Took a friend out to Samammish. I had felt that the cutthroat fishing had slowed lately, from what I'd been seeing in the reports, compared to mid winter time. We launched around 1:00 fished til 3:45. Headed up to the weather buoy. Trolled a needlefish, my partner trolled a silver/green Apex. Partner picked on fish at about 15". At 20' on the rigger, in 80' of water.
I picked up another on a silver kwik fish. similar depth. There were 3-4 other boats out there. Saw a few fish rising, but I would def. say that it has slowed down compared to Dec-Jan.
Very nice day on the water. Lake water was in good shape down by the Issaquah creek area. Last time I was here it looked like coffee with creamer.
