Hit American Sunday. Launched around 1100. Windy and cold, water Temp 44-46. Didn't think we would catch anything, I was throwing a white curly tail with white jig head, and the wife puts on a hot pink curly tail with black jig head. I laughed at the color, as did my daughter. Well the joke was on us, as the wife caught the only fish. A 23" 5.5ish pound bow (my scale is old). She made sure to tell us how good of a fisher she is all the way home. I don't think, even after all my years in Alaska, that I have ever caught a rainbow with the girth this fish had. Can someone tell me, is this the infamous triploid? This fish had some serious shoulders on it.
