After battling a chest cold for over a week, I had to get out and do something. With enough energy to hook up the boat, I launched at the public launch around 10:00. Went up to the trench and dropped a green ace hi-fly down. On the other rod I ran a wedding ring down 40 feet or so. It wasn't long before the hi fly rod was jumping. Reeled up a nice Mack, a 4 pounder. Back down went the bait. As I would see schools of Kokes, I would adjust the wedding ring depth accordingly. Narry a bite on the wedding ring. Hooked another Mack but lost it after a nice battle. Removed the wedding ring, and replaced it with another hi fly. Now have two hi flies trailing along the bottom. Hooked up with a nice fish, and got an eight pounder in the boat. Fished around in the lower trench area for a while more, and decided to call it a day around 1:00, and hooked up with another fish. Got a lil 3 pound Mack to the net. Several hits, and three fish in the boat, Good enough for me. All the fish were females, and had empty stomachs. I caught all the fish in the lower end, and marked several arches in that area. Trolled up to the rocky point, but no luck up that way. There were around 6-8 boats working the area, but don't know how they did. Water temp was 43*, so kokanee time is right around the corner.. It was a beautiful morning out on the water, Tight lines and sharp hooks everyone.

Hey man, it would be good to see you and Dacia again. Keep us posted, and maybe we can catch a mack this year. We had a nice little mexican resturant we wanted to take you guys to, but it burned down last week, so we'll have to come up with another plan. You two take care and stay well, and we'll see ya later

Alright Loui! LOL,, you are going to give Joe a run for his money now that you are getting dialed in on the Macks. Your little rope stringer is on it's way to catching up with his long bar-rod thing that he puts the fish on. Cool.

LOL, I don't think joe feels any pressure from my dirrection Quad. LOL But I do feel like I can luck into a laker now and again after watching joe fish. the lil "rope stringer" is a piece of fiberglass antennae, and I got a bigger chunk for when The numbers go up, but I don't feel the need to have one of joe's style "bar-rod" fish holder. LOL Stay safe and well my friend
