Pretty good day on the water. Just a few minutes in and spotted a very small tiger sunning in shallow water. Thought that was a good sign but that would be the only signs I would see all day.
Mostly casted a Bulldawg and worked it slow, then tried some trolling with some deeper diving crankbaits. Nothing to exciting but figured I'd post up some info. Water level is down approx. 6-8ft but the launches are still pretty good, saw several boats including a 20ft sled launch/retrieve with no troubles. The water is pretty stained in most areas and some log debris, shouldn't pose to much of an issue but something to take note of. The second highlight would include what I assume to be an eagle talon,I found it not far from the shore and took a pic or maybe its a dinosaur bone(lol) Was a bit surprised by the weeds, still plenty of them around and would find
them from time to time getting caught in the prop of the Minn Kota but again, not really an issue.
Not to much longer until we see more tigers roaming around!

Weather- Sunny and clear until 2:30PM,then overcast but dry skies

Just a little envious of you. Stuck in the garage doing some spring cleaning. Seems like Tacoma Power always drops the water level down on Sundays..same as it always is..even in the winter. Glad you got out on the water. I'm like 2 weeks away. Anyone catching any trout out there? I've had luck out there early March burning small rooster tails for trout.. A little early for muskies but they gotta eat. What color bulldawgs were you throwing? Were they mags or spring dawgs? Just wondering..Slow is key in the early spring for muskies anyway. Good job. Later dude.

The few boats I spoke with all struck out. I was tossing the Tackle Industries Mini D in gold walleye. I think this trip paid off with fighting the effects of cabin fever. Also got to fine tune some gear before the season gets in full swing. I did open up the tackle box to find one of my lifelike pike lures and mini d's had been caught in some nuclear fusion and sort of melted into each other, kind of weird looking. Maybe I got a new bait on my hands and I can sell it for $40,woo hoo!

Those Strike King super X plastics will do that (Fuse to and melt with) any time you get them close to another lure! Great to see you got out. Jiggy

Thanks Jig,certainly was good to get out. I'm hoping I can salvage the 2 baits.I can assume that it must have got real hot in that particular box but not sure how or I have a nuclear reactor tucked away somewhere. Not to much longer until warmer weather
that will get these fish more active.
I did stop by the mayfield resort/marina,I guess a very large salmon was caught recently but don't know any details. They said it was in one of the local papers,so other folks are catching fish...just not me
