The lake was 30' low when I launched the boat at Tidnapam north launch. I always start with the trolling at the launch and work my way along the east side. The fish are hitting hard. I caught numerous 12" (C&R) looking for the bigger ones. I pulled in 3 that I kept in that area 14"-16" and moved on to another spot I like to fish. I had a take down but it appeared to be a small fish so I was in no hurry. When I pulled on this one it felt like a good fish and then the fun started. This fish broke water like a dolphin. I have fished on this lake for 20yrs and have only caught a few fish of this caliber. I landed this one and he was 19.5" long and just a pig. The cowbells with the wedding ring tipped with 2 of the power bait white maggots. This is the only thing me and the boys use.

I think it goes something like this, "Technically what you are catching are land locked Coho, not Sockeye, so they are silvers not kokanee." There it's been said, let that be the end of it.

Good to hear that the bite is still going strong, thanks for the report!

I don't care what they "technically" call them, each and every person that reads these reports know exactly what is being talked about when someone says "Riffe Lake" and "Kokanee" in the same sentence. So, 5th day whatever you are, keep it up, I like your style!

BTW, nice report, "dolphin", lmao!!

Ummm...yeah...those aren't Kokanee like Bionic and G-Man said. When I catch a Pike, should I call it a Musky? LOL Just giving you grief.
