Went out to silver, had a late start didnt make it out until noon or so. Started on the east side of the lake fishing the tree stumps, and within about an hour my girlfriend, on her very first trip to silver, caught her 35in tiger on a figure 8. She was very proud since all other figure 8 attempts failed. we fished along the stumps to the rock point out there with a few follows including one that had previously broke a friends leader and took off with the lure still in its mouth, we almost got it back! We moved past the 2nd set of tree stumps and down to the mini bay thing and we caught a nice size bass. Then on our way back up I decided to stop and fish the second set of stumps since previuosly we had followers there, and 20 minutes in I caught my largest tiger ever, a 46in 18in around 21lber! Fished for a lil after that with no action and we had to call it. So for 3.5 hours worth of fishing it was very intense!

Great job guys..those fish look really healthy. I havent been out there since the spring. Looks as though the water is pretty clear. The weedlines still in good shape out there? And how did the light house point look..the one with the big rock humps on the point? Dig your sign on names too..what was the water temp? I'm planning on coming out that way in a week or so to visit my daughter at EWU..might have to drag the boat.. Thanks,Todd

We were using 1 and 1/4 oz spinnerbaits from cabelas.com, theyre the musky/pike ones. Water temps were like 54 degrees and weeds were still fairly good. didnt catch anything but bass in the weeds tho, tigers were a little deeper in like 8-10ft or so and moving real slow, very lethargic. Yea doug, saw your post the other day about silver and your follows which prompted our trip, and actually that was my first tiger since joining muskies inc!

MuskyHunters, we are having a meeting tonight (Tuesday) at 6:30 if you can come. We could use your muskie as an example on how to enter the fish into the lunge Log, if you haven't done so already! I will be giving a short presentation on that tonight....
