Fished the annual Washington State Bass Federation Scholarship tournament on October 2 and 3. Took second place with a 2-day bag of 26.29 pounds, good for $500. The fall bass pattern at Banks seems to be pretty consistent from year to year. Weather was very stable, mid 70's with light and variable winds. Water temps 64-66 depending on depth. It would appear that the largemouth are doing quite well; while we didn't weigh any, we caught plenty, and other teams weighed some very nice fish. The largemouth bite and quality of fish in June was excellent as well.
The smallmouth on this trip favored slender, finesse plastics on a slow presentation.
