This was my first time fishing this lake. The weather forecast was for sun and 72 degrees but when I got to the lake it was overcast and windy. I almost turned around and went home because I wasn't sure if my pond prowler could handle the waves. I went to the lake fully armed with 6 rods rigged ready for anything. I headed south towards the west end of the lake and spotted some fish on my fishfinder and anchored out. I grabbed my drop shot rig and dropped my worm in front of the boat in 17' of water. Within a few minutes I caught my first bass. The wind was blowing so hard that my boat was drifting even with my anchor being out. I wound up catching about 9 bass and they were between 8-12".I released all the fish so they can get bigger. There were other fisherman on the lake and they weren't having much luck so I told them what I was using so they tried drop shotting and caught some bass. I was using a 4" green pumpkin berkley power worm and a 4" black yamamoto kut tail worm. I traded some of my worms with the other fisherman for some of his 5" senkos. I'll be back to fish this lake when it's not so windy.
