Just stopped by like every other day i take my daughter down to the lake but today i decided to relax and not work any rapalas or crankbaits for bass and threw a salmon hook a wieght and some powerbait and see if the trout would be bitting. I was in for a surprise as i grabed my pole as it was being hit and set the hook then my line went slack and out jumps the trout about 20 yards away. once i reeled in the slack it put up an nice fight on my light gear even pulling out some line. Got him to shore and he was a nice fatty. 2nd fish i landed put up an even bigger fight and this was medium pole but it felt like i was pulling up a log when it wasnt flailing this and that way lol. I did miss my 3rd fish though which felt bigger then the other 2 because i couldnt even manage to half of a complete circle, managed to get him about 10 yards away and he self released. all together landed 2 fish, missed 1 fish, and missed 2 hits. Sorry no pictures cant find the usb cord to my camera :( anyways i measured the fish both 13" 2nd one is prolly just shy of a pound. I do have to say it seems wild trout have a lot more fish this hatchery trout i have caught of the same size. I am excited to get back down there!
