Well, the fishing at Quinalt is picking up a little after a lull of a couple of trips. or so. We caught 4 fish the first day, (Thursday) 3 dollies and a nice searun cut of about 12 inches. Dollies ranged from 12 inches up to 2 lbs. or so. On Friday it started out very slow. After losing a nice trout because of butter fingered Bob losening a drag on the c3 reel to the limit while handing the rod over to the lovely Melanie and all that slack was all she wrote, we managed to pick up another three dollies with the largest being just over 2 1/2 lbs and a small trout for our dog Hamza. He really worked for it, a lot of time in the canoe!. I think the picture of Melanie may have been squished a little as it's a vertical. I think the cold front moving in slowed the fishing down overall,we had to work for the fish we caught, but I believe the change in barometric pressure of that front that brought in the rain today triggered a good flurry later in the morning on friday, I've seen that before in trout and esp. bass fishing. I know the fishing should steadily get better from now "till mid fall. Tight lines to you (and I don't mean snags!) Bob R. P.S. We tried the dollies as deep fried fish and chips Friday evening, great fish for it!

Bob, your dog is grinning, big time. Do you have another very dark colored dog? On the right side of your dog and in the distance, is a dark figure, that looks like a dog but appears to have it's head down. What is that?
