Got to the lake for the first time to see if I could land one of the big RB Trout that I hear are lurking in this well known lake. Lots of boats and people at the docks on this sunny day. Started out with no wind and very warm. Water had a major bloom that was so bad in the North East part of the lake my fish finder was unable to see the bottom. Lots of fish showing and I got my limit after working the deep water in the middle part of the lake. Not the big one I wanted but nice RB trout for the smoker. Hooked up to 8 others that were released to get bigger and only took the ones that were not going to make it. Wind picked up at 2 and fishing slowed at the same time. All in all a fun day and I will be back to get the 5 plus pounder they said was caught the day before. I saw the picture and a few large ones at the dock so I know they are there. Fish seemed to want a fast troll and bite was soft so you had to watch pole as it was so soft they tended to slip the hook because of this. Fish were running at about 25 Ft and not schooled up.
