I've never fished in lk wenatchee, but have fished for sockeye in lk washington. I put the boat in to see what the fishing was like, and
used the electronics while I was there to scan for fish.

rigged with 0 sized dodger, chrome base with scale reflector tape in center, red 2/0 hook about 18" back from the dodger. Trolled approximately 30' back from downrigger set to 50' depth, at .1 to .3 kts water speed.

I had a single pole with a single red hook, with the barb pinched, and launched the boat at the "south" ramp, which was a bit of a pain in the *ss because you had to unhook your trailer to park there, but all in all ok. in the water at 4pm, fished until 9pm, nothing. Saw no nets.

I slept on the boat, and was fishing the next morning at 4:30. Hit my first fish about 4:45, 200 yards from the fish pens at the west end of the lake (people say that's the "north" side, but the setting sun was in that direction, and near as I can tell the sun sets in the west, so I'm gonna call it the west end of the lake).

I looked at the first fish I caught, and, compared to lk washington sockeye, was not impressed with the size; maybe 4lbs. So I threw it back. out of the next 12 fish I hooked, I eventually retained two that were 6lbs or so, still a bit small in my book, but apparently the largest that I was gonna get. I had my limit at 0630, and was pulling my boat out of the water while people were still launching.
