This report is from the 3rd of july through the 6th of july. On the 3rd was on the resevoir with winds in the teens and anyone who has been there knows that means big waves for a small boat. Fished the face of the dam and caught 10 to 15 smallies nothing bigger then 2lbs. Headed in and went to soda where I continued to catch small ones except this time large mouth. Took Sunday off due to high winds. Got sunny and hot monday and tuesday. Water temps where in the upper 70`s and no wind at all. Fished monday from the mouth of the dunes along the willows to the state park and caught several large mouth from a pound all the way to 4.6lbs. Tuesday same weather as monday hot with no wind. Fished around goose island and caught a couple smallies around 2lbs. Then headed over to the willows by the state park and caught a few large mouth one at 2.7 and the other at 3.9. I tried alot of different presentations and the best for me was a craw patern crank bait. Although some came at first light on a buzz bait and frog. Early before the sun came up was the best action. Fish seem to hit on the first crank of the reel. After the sun came up they were caught on points in about 8ft of water. Resevoir is real high but going down quick. First time there and will be back.

Yes it was thanks to you for all the help and all the other guy`s also. Tough fishing at first but once I figured out the pattern it was good.

Nice job out there and thanks for the report. I've passed Potholes a couple times this year but havn't had time to stop.
I'd love to get out here and do a mix of bass and walleye fishing.

That's pretty awesome for a first time. How is shore access? I've been shorebound so long that if I fished from a boat, I don't think I would know what to do. :)

Islandbass I had a lot of help from some guy`s here giving me there advice. Shore access is very limited right now due to the high water level. But give it a couple weeks it will be fine.
