A bit of a slow afternoon. Hit the lake around 4, pitching t-rigged craws and 3" senkos in the shallows. My roommate and I boated handfuls of rockbass as usual and i landed about a two pound smallie on a 3" yamamoto crawdad (like a junebug coloring). Fished on with little luck, wind was playing havoc on us. Tried my hand and dropshotting for awhile, one bite and nothing more. I still need to get the hang of it. As the sun was setting around 9ish we moved to the area just south of the launch and I nailed a decent perch on my first cast. Switched to a topwater popper and on my second cast watched in horror as a fat pig just missed it, coming clean out of the water (it will haunt me all week!). Anyhow, slow day but at least we were fishin'!
