Got to the resort at 11am (lot later than I wanted to, but thats life), Paid my $10 and got a boat. Started on the south side and let the wind carry blow me down the lake dropping jigs and Power Lizzards off the submerged cliffs and trees. Got a few little bites but nothing held. Rowed back up and drifted down again, still nothing. Went for the north side and worked my way up about half way and started drifting down the shore again. Nothin, skunked... or so I thought. About 6pm I tossed a chartreuse tube jig out and got the first fish of the day, dinky little small mouth, but felt good. Next cast and BAM caught a decent sized smallie. Drifted some more till I got behind a little island and the shore, lots of good coverage and still water. Started tossing the black and blue power lizzard (carolina rigged) out. At first I thought I caught a weed, but when it started to run, it was on. Caught a good sized largemouth. It continued to be hot and heavy till about 8pm. I decided to just drift back to the resort and hit the banks with a jig the rest of the way, caught a few small Largemouths off the top, but nothing else of note.
