Lake Trout fishing in Lake Chelan continues to improve. We are hooking approximately 2 fish per hour in the lower basin. Most fish are 2 to 4 pounds with some 6 and 7 pound fish in the mix. We are pulling U-20 flatfish and K-Lures within 10 feet of the bottom at 1.2 knots. We are fishing the shallower contours (110' to 170') early in the day and deeper contours (200' to 250') later in the day. The fish are really hanging on the "edges" or areas where there is a depth change. They are full of sticklebacks and mysis shrimp.

I did an informal creel census on Roses Lake. Two fishermen had 2 fish each in about an hour of dunking bait off the launch dock. I expect it will get better after the plant.

We had success below Wells Dam for steelhead drifting eggs. Also, Rufus Woods Reservoir is in full swing with a mixed bag of triploided rainbows, kokanee and trophy walleye.
