Now I've been told these are not Kokes but only catagory on your list, they are landlocked silvers right Bob R? Any hoot had a great morning just like last Monday, fished same area but because of free fishing weekend it was crowded at times. Still managed to get a limit for myself and a friend, then took two more friends and caught them their limit all before 12:00 we started at 7 done by 9:30 first group and second group of guys 12 all in all coundn't beat the day or the catching. Water was not as fast by current, must not be pulling water, so I think it scattered the fish around but still find pockets of them and had two double hook-ups, it was cloudy last week when I went and this time clear and brite which in the cleaner water I noticed we had to fish a little bit deeper, still fished maybe 15 ft deep in the stained parts and just slayed em. Nothing under 12 inches with the best being 18" most in the 16 to 18" range, heard some guy caught a five pounder which is what I want don't we all. Most people were using pop gear and saw only small fish caught others bobber with schrimp but I noticed they were small. Couldn't figure out why we only caught 1 , 12" good bait I guess or the stinky stuff we were using. Anyway they are being brinned in preperation for the smoker tommorrow, last batch is gone already once it is out there people seem to come out of the wood work when they know it is around to have some.
It is all good. Tight Lines and Keep America Clean Don't Litter. Which reminds had to pick out a Red Bull and Monster cans out of lake that someone just let float away from them, mf's had to see it floating so could have picked them up. I hate litter bugs and if I catch you doing it I.m gonna let you know! Later

beautiful looking fillets, very good reporting on what you saw in relation to other fishermen, it does seem like you caught the larger fish, I know what you mean about losing the big one, just not knowing what it might have been can drive you nuts! We've noticed that pop gear can put off the larger fish sometimes, a more subtle presentation can be the difference. Lots of fun by lots of people, great job of putting them all on fish, great report.
