Wow! Never had a three fish trout stringer pushing 20 lbs. before. Like steelheads. Unreal, the dock @ N.Shore Resort was on fire Tuesday afternoon. 5 fishing and 11 big fat 18"- 24" trout where caught while I was there from 1 pm till 5:30. Two other big fish were even lost @ the dock, due mostly to light leaders. I caught 3 huge ones with my lucky rod, a 19", 20-1/2" and biggest was 21-3/4" @ 7 1/4 lbs. I quit after the second 20" plus(limit on this lake) and was cleaning mine when my friend started using my rod and caught two more just under 20" plus the little 16"er he caught on his rod earlier. The largest on the dock was a 24" 8+ lb. hog caught on rainbow PB nuggets. At least 3 -18/20"ers were on worms& marshmallows, all the others on PB. I haven't been back but I will, when I just want to catch big fat trout. Oh, all mine (lucky rod total 5) where caught on orange PB with about 18" of 6 lb leader and 8 lb line. They had full bellys of small snails and nice pink flesh. Very fat and oily, I filleted mine into strips and smoked/jerked them. My friend went back wed. and caught only 1 on orange PB, but it was big he said. He said no action on the dock by anyone else. Guess he should have borrowed my lucky rod.
