Went to shiner again, and got nothing, but saw many fish eating birds. One guy said if I was looking for crappie, I should look at the white stuff on the rocks. So I went to potholes.
Glad I did. 23 Largemouth over 15" inches (largest 8.5 lbs, 1 kept @ 22" largemouth {gill was cut by hook, but she had spawned}) several under, 1 16.5 lb catfish (C&R), 1 11 lb catfish, roughly 15 smallmouth to 3 lbs, 1 poor crappie that sailed over my head when I set the hook (it hit right after the big bass. Adrenaline, you know). 2 guys had some decent walleye. Perfect weather and best spinyray of the year so far.

WOW!!! Thanks for the great report! What did you catch the cats on? I was fishing for cats all Memorial day weekend in Lind Coulee and never even got a nibble.
Awesome bass too! Great work!

fc must have paid his scuba divers overtime, and by white stuff, do you mean all these were caught off the damn?

6" Carolina plastics, topwater, and wacky rigs for the bass (Topwater was a blast!). Worms and cutbait on a Christmas tree rig with light line (4-6#) with a stick type sinker for the cats. And yeah, it was like catching a months worth of fish in a day. White stuff was at Shiner Lake, and indicated the pelicans were defecating the remains of what used to be a good fishery onto the rocks. Scuba was expensive, but worth it ; ) ! (actually did that with a friend at Moses Lake about ten years ago, and it did work on crappie and walleye. Nice memory).
