Got to the lake about 0900 and thought I'd give the smallies a try. The lake was full of logs, stumps, and other debris, including an unoccupied aluminum boat half full of water. Reported the boat but chose not mess with it. It eventually headed to shore on its own. Navigating a safe route was a chore, but possible. Made it to the No-Wake zone and started throwing a grub, but had no luck. Switched to a Senko: no luck. Tried a Rapala: no luck. Threw a spinner with a couple different trailers: no luck. Had one small fish follow a grub as I was at the end of a retrieve, but that was the only thing I saw. Overall it was a good day since the sun was out and I wasn't working, but a bite or two would have been nice.
Marked a lot of fish in deeper water. I think if I was geared for Kokanee I might of had some luck, but it would have been tough to troll. The debris was such that you'd have to constantly be looking forward and not paying absolute attention to your gear. Tough for one guy to do both.
