The bass bite is starting to pick up. Saw some big girls near beds but it would appear that most of the bass are coming off the beds. Tossed a variety of baits including white and perch colored
spinnerbaits along with a few cranks/twitchbaits. My son caught a decent bass,my best guess is around 2 pounds(no scale) on a white spinnerbait. We mostly worked the logs between Erickson's and the WDFW launch. We had a few hookups the north end of the island but the average size was 1/2-1 pound, still fun though.
The lake is getting a little murky now, which in my opinion seems to produce a better bass bite, they are much harder to spook.

All fish were released. I took several photos and will post them in a few days.
Good luck out there and as always.....take your time motoring around, the stumps enjoy
kissing boats

I should have been a little clearer in my last comment/post...Erickson's Boathouse at Lake Kapowsin...any help would be appreciated. Last time I was down there with my 2 sons Erickson's was closed.
