Went out from 4-7pm water temperature was 59 degrees slight breeze out of the south early and died down completely by 5pm water was like glass. Used a black wooley bugger all evening caught and released 7 and kept 2 all about 12 inches picked my partner and his daughter up about 5:30pm at the State boar ramp. She had a spinning rod so added some weight and put a wooley bugger on for her (see my article on trolling a fly with your spinning rod) we trolled around the north end picking up a strike here and there but nothing real solid. We continued working the area trying to bracket them in when all of a sudden Hannahs rod doubled over fish on she battled and battled with dad giving her instructions and throwing me the net when bang I got a hit that was real solid he had that 6wt. fly rod of mine bent into the water another fish on, a double I got a look at hers at it was a beauty 4lb Rainbow then I got mine up to the boat and got a look at it another, beauty I finally got it close enough to get the net on it another nice Rainbow this one was about 5lb's these trout made several runs on both of us great fighters. Yes the triploids are definitely in the lake, these Kamloops Rainbow trout are known for there fighting ability and they lived up to there reputation what a great night on the lake.
