Fished this afternoon for bass and an hour or so of that for Crappie. No Crappie, so let's get that out of the way. Did manage to get two bass to pose for pictures before their release back to their aquatic dwelling, though, granted, they are nothing to write home, 1 pound 9 ounce and the other must of been a pound or so. Caught them on consecutive casts with a 7" power worm in blue fleck, which is quickly becoming my favorite plastic, as it seems to never let me down.

Caught two more little tiny baby bass and a few rock bass while trying for Crappie.

Well done. At least some fish are being caught finally. The only bass I've seen all year were 4-8 inches.

Well, this is the 5th time that I have fished here this year. Never caught a bass two of the five trips and really had to work at the others that I did catch. I have it in my mind that one must fish slow and hard. I learned to fish fishing for Steelhead and we would, at times, totally just flog a hole. I would get sick of casting, lol. Now I fish for bass, and find myself fishing way too slow. People with me want to move on, yet I want to keep fishing before moving. Perhaps, that is a fault that costs me, maybe not, but, I really had to work to get these little buggers. I fished a lot to get these two bites.

My concern is that all the pan fish fishermen out there may be keeping a lot of the little bass. There just don't seem to be a huge supply of them, but then again, I think fishing has been slow in most places with all the cooler weather that we have been having.???????? Who knows????????

was there about ten days ago. Caught 2 small crappie, several rock bass, and one nice largemouth. No scale, but 19 inches. Plastic for the largemouth (Blue like above), and 1/32nd oz yellow jigs with worm pieces for the rest. No bobber, fished SLOW. This lake has been good to me in the past, but that is the best this year. Pads for largemouth, grassy areas for the rest. Probably different by now. Good luck.

That's exactly the way I do it, Arniejl, but I do okay on the trout. I've never tried for bass though, maybe that is different though. The has really stunk this year, I think it has made a big difference from what I hear. Good luck.
