Let me see how many ways I can type this out.

0 for Alder
Oh for Alder
0 4 Alder
Oh 4 ahl-durr

5th trip this year to Alder Lake and, once again, the big NADA!

Fished the shoreline for a couple of hours after trying to key into the 8 to 15 foot range. None of it mattered. Went back to the 10 to 15 or 18 foot range, nothing. Tried for an hour for Crappie, nothing.

Tried a lipless crankbait and plastics.

Talked to a couple of guys in boats and one was Crappie fishing and they had no luck, at that time, it may have changed. The other two boats were bass fishing and one had nothing and the other claimed to have caught 4, 3 lmb, and 1 smallie. He was fishing plastics, as well. He said his fish were not too big, a couple pounds, maybe.

Oh well, never give up.

I will say this though, since my days growing up in Forks and fishing for Steelhead, a lot, today was quite possibly one of the most cold and miserable days that I have ever had fishing. It was 41 degrees when I launched at 7:20 and the wind was constant about 8 to 10 mph. I have Reynauds phenomona, which means my circulation does not excell in cool weather. My fingers turn white and go numb. I have to warm them by putting them in my armpits. So, lets say I get to fish for 15 minutes, I then spend 15 minutes getting blood back into my hands.

Oh, did I mention the rain? lol. It did warm up to 51 or 52, but then the rain hit and I bagged it at 4:00.

Water temp. 55 degrees.

No catch, no pics
