Hit up Clear lake in search of some kokanee late this morning. Hit the launch about 10 and was warned by the neighbors that there were some break ins this morning, broken glass as evidence still on the ground. Launched the boat and headed across from the launch and trolled the far shoreline about 50-75 yds off shore and began trolling. It didn't take long to get bit, but they were very shy today, biting very lightly. I had to hold the rod the whole time and gently set the hook upon getting bit, as the hook ups were not coming with the rod in the holder. Got consistent hook ups until I quit at 2 with 2 trout and 1 koke on the stringer, all 12 inches long. Had a lot of kokanee up to the boat, but just could not get them to the net before the hooks came out. Also let 2 small kokanee go to grow bigger. Fished the whole time with a homemade spinner rig tipped with berkley gulp maggots, trolling at 2 on the motor with about 1/2 oz weight.
