Launched around 5pm. Headed to the West side of lake around the VA hospital. Had 1 on right as I got to that side of the lake but lost it at the boat (just a lttle guy anyway). Didnt get any action except for watch9ing the eagles fish as I made my way north past the Hosp.. I turned around and headed back south. I hook up to a nice 12" trout near the marina and kept him. Trolled for a while longer with just little nibbles but no takers. had one more on and lost him at the boat also. Got to love it when they jump out of the water and shake the hook right at the boat. So I hooked into only 3 and got only one in the boat. Nice evening for a troll but the bald eagles had better luck than I had

Its amazing watching the Eagles. I had one the other day swoop down 20 feet from the stern of my boat and grabbed a fish!!! I couldnt believe how big it was!!! Crazy to watch. Its amazing to me how many eagles are around there. I saw at least 6 of them the other day.

Sounds like you did pretty good....

it was fun watching them! They are everywhere. I had the same thing happen with one swooping down right by me. It grabbed a fish from the water right back where my lure was behind the boat. I couldnt help but think that fish was probably going for my lure :). Oh well for a slow day fishing it kept the excitement up a little. Plus my 2 1/2 year old boy that was with me liked it also.
