Got to lake at 10:00 am the weather once again made fishing very difficult, high winds do not treat a 12’ raft very good I really get blow all over when the wind picks up. However even though the weather would not agree we still managed to have a good day of fishing. A friend and I landed 12 fish in the boat today. 9 of them being small planters three being very nice fish. One fish was 22 inches. The smaller fish did not seem to care what you trolled in front of them we caught a small one on everything we tried today. One of the bigger fish was caught on a 2 inch silver minnow crank bait. The other two nice ones where caught on a silver and gold spinner with no flasher in front. The flashers have been helping catch fish recently however today the fish did not want anything to do with them. It has been difficult to troll on this lake however due to the great number of boats that are always on this lake. Seems like no matter which way you go there is a boat in front of you. This lake has been very good this spring I highly recommended it. Troll slow, change lures often, try with and without flashers and hold on tight to your rod because big trout swim these waters.
