I started the day with buying a raft. filled it with air got to the lake at 12 30, put the raft in at the boatlaunch and went directly across the lake, got to the other shore at 1 00, fish were surfacing everywhere. first cast, fish on, brought to the raft and released, 8 inch but decently fat, next cast as soon as it hit the water, fish on. i brought it to the raft it self released. 11 or 12 inch, next cast bite, but no fish, bite or fish on or caught almost every cast for the next half hour. 45 mins in i had 4 fish on the stringer, 3 about 12 inch one that was injured which was about 9 inches. many many more released, i fished for about another hour hoping to land a real big one, i caught about 10 more that where decent but not what i wanted to bring home. i hooked up with 3 fish that were pretty big, 1 self released and the others spit it. at the end of the day, i caught and released roughly 25 fish unharmed, and kept 5, the weather was great, partly cloudy, the lake was like glass, no wind, warm. i caught all of these fish on a panther martin green yellow and red holographic size 4, within the top 3 feet of the surface, in about 10-12 feet of water, this is the best fishing i have seen in this state yet.
