Yesterday my uncle and I went to long lake, had a great time, My uncle caught 4 perch all the size of a christmas ham(lol) I couldnt land a single one I myself farmed about 5 of them, at the end of the day right before sunset i hooked and land a fat squaw, damn, not my best day by any means ohwell, we tryed using everything in the boat but had our best luck with a pumkinseed or watermelon cant remember tub jig i believe it was with a 3/8 oz jig head football shape, needless to say they were too big for the fish we were coming across. Water temp was I think 50 or 52 again cant remember. Not alot of people were on the water. There were a few guys catching smallies off the docks but we couldnt get into them this time. I dont think im going to invite my uncle anymore, due to the fact that everytime we go out he always catches more fish or bigger fish. Guess im not holdin my mouth right, and or I forgot to pay the precher. All in all had a great time.
Sorry no pictures this time.
PS can someone please tell me how to cook perch, cooked them last night with butter for a few mins on both sides, but turned out very rubbery.
Tight Lines to all!
