heyy guyys! well where do i start? loaded up the chevy this morning with essentials!you know, 6 pack of zima, couple of good books,sun block,fritos,corn,bobbers and hooks and headed out to my favorite lake newman! thats right good ole' newman lake. got a tip that the salmon were biting so i wasnt gonna miss the bite! well got to my spot at 9:00am you know the early bird gets the worm! i gave my shakespear a whip after loading my hook with corn and setting the bobber and whoops! the secound part of my dang pull went flying off into the lake! darn thing! after applying some spat to the joint and pressing it back on i gave her heck of whip and woulnd you know it my line bird nested! and let me tell you it wasnt a regular everyday birdnest this was a beauty! more like a taradactile nest if you no what i mean. darn closed bail reels anyhow. after a couple hours i got her untangled and i was ready to fish. i went about 4 hours without a bite! weird huh? it was peaceful though just reading and eating fritos. around 5 is when the action picked up.let me tell you, for those who have never salmon fished at newman you are missing out! i caught about 8! good ones too! they will taste great on the barb'ie when i get home.details. number 8 hook filled with as much corn as you can get on her. with a bobber hung 11" up from that. these fish like it when the bait is up high. anyways goodluck. oh remember, keep your drag tight and your tip up!
