I arrived at the lake around 1000. I tied on a gold Little Cleo and started trolling. I caught 1 fish trolling and missed another 2. I missed the 2 fish trolling near the swimming area. I decided to switch to my go to bait. I tied on some red power eggs and casted near the area where I lost the 2 fish. I caught the 2 fish I missed trolling. I moved to my spot near the island and caught 2 more fish using rainbow colored power eggs. The water was nice and calm when I got to the lake. I seen alot of fish rising to the top eating bugs. The water temperature was 59 degrrees and rose to 62 degrees. The wind started to pick up a little after 1100. I hope the bass start to bite. I haven't caught a decent sized bass out of here. I hear there's some nice bass in this lake. Hope to see you on the water.

The bass are there and should be biting. The trout, trolling top water repalas small ones in 1 in - 11/2 size you will catch some nice fish. I have caught trout in the 4 lbs range with the repalas in Island Lk.

Thanks for the tips Trent. I'll try it next time I'm out on the lake.
