After having surgery 3 weeks ago I had a serious case of cabin fever,so when my friend "goose" asked if I would like to go for a boat ride I couldn't get ready fast enough! He said he would do everything and all I needed to do was just sit in the boat and fish. Now thats a fishing buddy! We trolled North along the houses. I was using a black wolleybugger fly behind an" action disc" that I purchased after watching a W/L.com video on fishing Rufus Woods lake last year. I used six feet of leader and a couple split shot to get it down. We fished for about 3 hours until the barometer dropped like a rock along with the tempereture. It was noon and we could see our breath as we were talking. "Goose" trolled a perch Rapala and had no hits at all, his daughter trolled a wedding ring worm set up and had one hit.I landed four that were 10 inches long and one that was 15 inches long. All fish were released unharmed. Thanks "Goose" for a fun day and thanks W/L.com for putting up a quality web site. By the way,if anyone wants more info on the action disc you can see it on www.wigglefin.com. It really works!! tight lines.
