I had the week off and it wasnt rainy, so I decided to try Terrell. Got to the lake a little after 10, fish till 3. It was windy and blowing out of the south. I knew it will be a tough day due to the cold front. fish the souteast sidea and along the west side. the water temp was 47-49 verying in some spot. i try cranking, spinner, and flip jig with no luck. after thins cold front past it will be more productive. the water is still high, making it hard to locate some island of tullies. overall it was nice to get out even the air temp was in the low 40's and windy. better luck, next time.

I have only fished this lake once a few years ago and loved it. Had some nice fish blow up on topwater lures in the morning during summertime. Have you had much luck on this lake? Seems like it is very shallow and I remember the islands in the middle of the lake.

to toadhunter. yes i have luck on Terrell lately. most of the of the time i went out this year i catch 1-2 fish, ranging for 2-4 lbs with a few 5 or 6 lbs. the water temp is still a little cold. wait until the water reach the mid 50's then it will really pick up. yeah it is a shallow lake but the water is higher than usual right now. give it a few more day on warm weather and it will be very good.
