First trip to this lake.WOW what a beautiful lake.It all looked good. There is so much structure that it's hard to know where to fish.I was lucky enough to catch a couple nice fish though.First was a smallie that was right at 3 pounds. He ate a Yamamoto creature on a football head in about 18-20 feet.Fished about 10 spots or so.Warmest water was the north bank up in the west lake.It was 50 degrees in there. Most of the main lake was 47-48 degrees.I was just about to leave and decided to try one more spot that looked good earlier so at 2 pm I headed over there and threw a spinnerbait in about 2-5 feet of water.I brough it by a piling and a big largie followed my bait.So I slowed down and just as it got near the boat I started to do a "crazy 8" on him,he lunged forward and hit.I LOVE TRAILER HOOKS.Thank goodness I had one.He ripped off some line and jumped and then I got him in.It weighed 4.5 pounds. It was real long too.I think it may have been a male.It was healthy but didn't look like it was full of eggs.I left about 10 min later.I wasn't gonna top that.Needless to say,I like this lake and I'll be back soon.Oh Ya,I did the "That's the one!!!" Pose,Inside joke with my Buddy Jason
