Had the fever to fish, though I can't say much for the weather that was cloudy, rainny, windy, with occasional calm spell moments on the water. I tried trolling with wedding rings and notice success using the green ones with power worm bait, dipped in some shrimp scent. We notice the fish bites that we were getting were at the end of the lake where the old wood pilons are. So we focused most our trolling and anchoring there. We were able to catch just two fish anchoring using yellow power bate eggs. My fishing buddy almost had a nice three to five pound trout, but was caught off guard when the fish headed right for the boat, jumped out of the water, spitting the hook. So all I can say is that there are some big fish in this lake. We also notice that when the waters were calm there were fish feeding on the new fly hatches on the surface. Overall a good day to catch fish even if it was cold and wet outdoors.
