Hit up Beaver this morning from 8 to noon. Started throwing soft plastics carolina rigged on the north shore. The wind soon got strong enough to make that no fun, so moved to trolling for trout using jointed rapalas (unsuccessfully). After about an hour the wind went down, so went back to bass fishing. Hit a number of sites up the lake and on the upper lake too. Lost a couple of rigs to the monster logfish, but no takers. Might have had a hit at one point, but can't be sure as it didn't result in anything. Tried blood, white, and pumpkinseed worms and curly tails rigged different fashions. Also tried some crank baits in pearch and rainbow trout color. No action. The finder picked up fish out in the deeper parts of the lake at 35-45 feet, but targeting them didn't get any results either. Water temp was 43-44 degrees. The weather turned really nice and the crowds soon arrived. Quite a few boats and pontoons on the water when we left. Looked to be a nice afternoon.
